The times where you could just grab any shampoo in the personal care aisle has come and gone. Today many products are formulated with harmful chemicals like Sulfates, Parabens, Salt, and Sulfide, making it hard to find products that aren’t damaging to your health.

Neem shampoo contains some neem oil or neem leaf extract or both. The oil and the leaf extract have similar active ingredients but in varying concentrations. Both are fantastic for skin and scalp health.

Neem oil can relieve dry and itchy scalp, dandruff, the symptoms of scalp psoriasis, and give you silky, shiny, stronger hair while encouraging growth. It makes a big difference, and it does so seemingly overnight.

Shampoo made with neem oil or neem leaf has all of these benefits, but smells better and is a lot easier to use. However, the effect is not as instant as with a neem oil treatment.

Your hair is in contact with a shampoo for only a short time, but it will be treated a lot more often. Visit https://cobaltcleanlv.com/ to find professional maid service in Nevada. You can use neem oil products daily.

Benefits of Neem Shampoo:

  • Best for scalp problems
  • Makes your hair shinier and thicker
  • It is also known as anti-lice shampoo
  • Tackles problems like hair loss and premature graying
  • You can also use Neem oil for better results
  • The best part about Neem is that it is safe and doesn’t have any side effects

If you want perfect hair, you should try natural products. You can even make solutions from ingredients that are easily available in MaidWhiz Cleaning Service and in your kitchen, and neem is a great natural ingredient that can be used frequently as a natural shampoo to treat and take care of your hair. Check canceltimesharegeek.com.

Look for, or make your own products with natural ingredients, especially neem, which uses the power of the neem tree to help look after your scalp and hair while also protecting your health.

Cosmetics are known for containing a series of unknown ingredients. Many of these aren’t exactly what you would call “safe”, and a lot of them aren’t even close. Natural ingredients, such as neem extracts offer a better and safer alternative.

Chemicals in Cosmetics

  • Formaldehyde, a known carcinogen
  • Chemicals that release formaldehyde
  • Mercury, which can damage the kidney and nervous system
  • Lead, a potent neurotoxin
  • Asbestos, a known carcinogen
  • Isobutylparaben, isopropylparaben, butylparaben and propylparaben
  • Toluene, which is toxic to the brain and nervous system
  • Triclosan, which affects the thyroid
  • Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), which have been linked to cancer

Neem in Cosmetics

Neem and its parts are used extensively to manufacture high-quality herbal cosmetics and beauty products. These natural cosmetics are in great demand all over the world because of their efficacy and zero side effects, which makes the usual promotion of such products by companies like The Marketing Heaven, completely unnecessary.

Neem oil and extracts can be used by adding it to creams and lotions before applying them to the skin.

Neem Bark: Neem bark is extensively used to manufacture and export quality herbal and natural cosmetics and personal hygiene products.

Neem Leaves: Leaves in powdered form or as extracts are used to manufacture face and body lotions and creams description, they are very effective and essential for maintaining healthy and radiant skin. Learn more at www.mesa.uptownjungle.com or directly at some of California’s best trampoline parks. Neem leaves can also be found in certain fairness creams.

Neem leaf extracts are sometimes topically added to shampoo as a measure to control dandruff and increase their strength. Leaf granules are used especially in herbal face packs. Due to its anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties, the extract can also be used as skin and hair soother lotion.

Neem Oil: After the process of refining, neem oil loses its unpleasant smell and can be used to manufacture cosmetics.

Look for products that use neem extracts and you’ll be sure to protect your skin as well as your health.

Ocean dead zones have sadly become a common occurrence in our oceans. The cause of such “hypoxic” (lacking oxygen) conditions is usually eutrophication, an increase in chemical nutrients in the water, leading to excessive blooms of algae that deplete underwater oxygen levels. Nitrogen and phosphorus from agricultural runoff are the primary culprits, but sewage, vehicular and industrial emissions, and even natural factors also play a role in the development of dead zones.

How Dead Zones Happen

When farmers spray synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, the residue that is not absorbed by plants is absorbed by the soil. When rain falls, it washes these chemicals into rivers, which then reach the ocean and remain at the surface due to the density of fresh river water.

Substances like nitrogen and phosphorus, which are found in fertilizers, reach the ocean and serve as food for algae, which grow rapidly and consume all the oxygen as they break down. This creates hypoxic conditions in which few creatures can survive. You can discover more facts about healthy life on http://trumedical.co.uk site.

Some dead zones do occur naturally, but the prevalence of them since the 1970s—when dead zones were detected in the Chesapeake Bay off Maryland as well as in Scandinavia’s Kattegat Strait, the mouth of the Baltic Sea, the Black Sea and the northern Adriatic—hints at mankind’s impact.

A 2008 study found more than 400 dead zones worldwide, in South America, China, Japan, Southeast Australia and elsewhere.

How Can Neem Help Reduce Dead Zones

Azadirachtin, a complex tetranortriterpenoid limonoid obtained from neem seeds, is the main component responsible for the toxic effects in insects. At https://www.alliedexperts.com you’ll get the best heating service that New Jersey has to offer. Neem extracts do not kill pests immediately but impact their feeding or life cycle until they are no longer able to feed, grow, and reproduce.

Neem based inputs outperform synthetics in a variety of ways:

• As opposed to synthetic pesticides, neem-based pesticides have multiple modes of action against insects, and therefore rarely induce resistance.

• Neem acts on the insect’s hormonal system, not on the digestive or nervous system, which makes it very difficult for future generations of insects to develop resistance.

• Seeds that have been crushed to produce neem oil, create a byproduct called neem cake, which works as an organic pesticide and fertilizer that provides nourishment for the soil.

• Neem cake helps the soil to retain moisture and increase airflow through the ground, which allows the plants’ roots to breathe.

• Organic fertilizers such as neem cake must first break down before releasing their nutrients, ensuring that no run-off occurs.

Organic inputs such as neem will allow the agriculture industry to accomplish high-quality yields without harming the planet and the oceans.

Hair loss affects both men and women, and while there is no cure for it, there are many things that can be done to slow it down and make the most out of the hair that remains. Although there are many products that you can use to tackle hair loss, natural alternatives tend to be safer and gentler with your hair and scalp.

Tips for Hair Loss and Thinning Hair

    • Fight hair loss with the right shampoo
Choosing a shampoo that fights DHT, a hormone that gathers at the base of the follicle and causes thinning, can make all the difference. Supplement with a styler that promotes fullness while keeping strands healthy.
    • Keep it cool
Heat stress can do terrible things to your hair, weakening proteins and priming follicles for eject. That means no more blow dryers, hot curlers, or hair straighteners.
    • Avoid harsh chemicals
If the ingredients list on the back of your product reads like the deep end of a college chemistry textbook, you probably shouldn’t use it. Natural is better.

Many prescription treatments for losing hair include harsh chemicals that can dry out your scalp and make the follicles weaker. Foamers and thickeners, sodium laurel sulfate, or SLS – the chemical that produces all that nice, bubbly lather – strips hair of essential oils, breaks down protein essential for hair health and halts growth. Sodium chloride (basically table salt) is used as a thickener in products containing SLS, but it can cause dry, itchy scalp and encourage hair loss. Polyethylene glycol (also known as PEG, polyethylene or polyoxyethelyne) is another thickener that strips hair of moisture.

Neem for Hair Loss

If you’re looking for a natural, danger-free way to treat hair loss, neem is the solution. With anti-inflammatory properties that stimulate blood circulation, neem strengthens the immune system, promotes healthy hair growth and soothes the scalp. This gift of nature also offers anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties to keep your hair, scalp, and skin healthy.

Simply mix neem powder and water, then massage the hair mask onto your scalp. Leave it for half an hour before rinsing. You can even add neem powder to your shampoo for daily treatment, or make your own neem shampoo!

Choosing the right clothes is key for assembling the perfect outfit, however, the maintenance of clothing is also an essential factor for keeping your garments looking and smelling great. Naphthalene balls, which evaporate in the air and keep away mites and insects, are commonly used in homes.

The main disadvantage of using naphthalene balls is the strong odor and discoloration of any metallic or special work. Delicate fabrics such as silk, satin, and wool need to be stored and protected from mites and other insects, without harming the clothes.

Insects find their way through the smallest of corners and easily creep into your cupboard during the rainy season or in humid weather. Camphor balls absorb moisture and will ensure that there’s no room for insects in your wardrobe. This will help keep your clothes clean during the wet season.

Natural products offer the advantage of keeping your clothes fresh and insect-free without leaving them smelly or damaged. Solutions, such as neem leaves offer a simple and inexpensive alternative to certain substances.

Neem Leaves for Clothes

More than 300 different active compounds of the neem tree have been reported but the most important limonoids are azadirachtin, salannin and nimbin. Neem extracts have the potential to inhibit the growth of bacteria.

A study conducted with different natural antibacterial agents on clothing showed that 100% neem oil treated fabrics reduced 65% and 96% of S.aureus and E.coli respectively.

Neem can now be found as an ingredient in laundry detergents, due to its antibacterial properties. It offers a range of solutions and uses, thanks to its many compounds that can be found in the different parts of the neem tree.

Neem leaves also have anti-pest and anti-fungal properties. As a natural pesticide, dried neem leaves placed in your wardrobe can prevent insects and bacteria from eating and ruining your clothes.

Taking care of your skin in this day and age would seem like an easy task, given the number of products and beauty blogs that discuss every aspect of a skincare routine. This, of course, is not exactly true…

For some people, many options are good, but for most people, a myriad of products makes it very confusing and frustrating. In addition to the different options, consumers now need to consider whether the products they choose might contain harmful or questionable ingredients.

Dangerous Ingredients in Skincare Products

Think ingredients with proven harmful effects are regulated in personal care products? Think again. There is almost zero federal regulation of the cosmetics industry in the United States. A product can go straight from manufacturing to store shelves without any type of approval or mandatory safety testing.

There are over 1,300 chemicals banned for use in cosmetics in the European Union due to questions over their safety. In comparison, the U.S. has only banned 11.

Since there are few regulations to protect consumer safety, it is up to you to take care of your own skin. The best way to accomplish this is through the use of natural products, which have the added benefit of offering you all the power of synthetic substances, without posing a risk to your health.

Skincare with Neem

Fortunately, you can switch to neem, an alternative and natural treatment proven to be effective and gentle to your skin. A study published in the Journal of Photochemistry & Photobiology found that neem leaf extract is highly effective in treating different skin symptoms associated with aging, be it wrinkles, thickening or water loss.

Neem leaf extract is not the only neem-based product that can help keep your skin youthful. Neem oil can also help decrease skin roughness and the appearance of wrinkles due to its high content of Vitamin E, omega-6, omega-9 fatty acids, palmitic acid and antioxidants. Additionally, neem oil maintains the skin’s elasticity and has a deeply moisturizing effect, which helps prevent wrinkles caused by dryness.

Most of us aren’t aware of the ecological importance of insects, or the fact that a lot of the food you eat is made possible by pollinators. Pollinators are key, in both the agricultural world and in wild habitats and one-third of the world’s food supply relies on pollinators such as bees.

Across the globe, 70 of the top 100 food crops supply 90% of the world’s nutrition. These crops are pollinated by bees, with honeybees alone being responsible for billions of dollars in crop value every year.

Bees play a critical role in preserving and maintaining the world’s ecosystems, helping to promote biodiversity through pollination. The price tag of global crops directly relying on pollinators is estimated to be between US$ 235 and US$ 577 billion a year – and their quantity is on the rise. The volume of agricultural production dependent on pollinators has increased by 300% in the last 50 years.

Bees and Pesticides

The proliferation of chemicals in agriculture since the first Green Revolution has led to an over-reliance on synthetic pesticides such as neonicotinoids. The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) points to the use of neonicotinoids as one of the main threats to bees, while The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published a study earlier this year confirming that neonicotinoids have directly impacted the population of honeybees and other wild bee species.

The toxic chemicals in neonicotinoids were found to be responsible for damaging communication mechanisms that operate through the brains of bees, inhibiting their pollination abilities and thus their ability to efficiently pollinate crops.

Neem and Bees

Neem-based pesticides get their power from Aazdirachtin, a substance in the neem tree which is  =biodegradable and non-toxic to mammals. Azadirachtin disrupts the growth cycle of insects and deters them from feeding on plants. It is effective against 600 species of insects.

For neem-based pesticides to take effect, insects need to feed on the leaves, which means that it is 100% safe for pollinators. An increase in the use of neem-based pesticides could have a significant effect on the recovery, survival, and growth of pollinator populations worldwide.

Weight loss is a term that is often uttered with dismay and mythical characteristics, like a treacherous climb up a mountain. The truth is that losing weight depends on many factors that vary between individuals. No one formula works for everybody, and traditional remedies may come with several troublesome side-effects. Neem extracts, on the other hand, have many benefits, that come in a powerful natural, ancient, and safe solution.

Traditional Weight Loss Solutions

Many diet supplements are harmless, and some may even be effective at creating a sense of fullness, burning fat, or boosting your metabolism. However, some of the popular ingredients in weight loss products have been banned by the FDA because of harmful side effects like these:

  • Increased heart rate
  • High blood pressure
  • Agitation
  • Diarrhea
  • Sleeplessness
  • Kidney problems
  • Liver damage
  • Rectal bleeding

Ephedra – Banned

Once widely sold as an ingredient in diet supplements, the Chinese herbal stimulant ephedra was prohibited in 2004 because of evidence that its use could increase the risk of a heart attack or stroke. In 2005, a lower court ruled that ephedra is legal in small doses. In 2006, a federal appeals court reinstated the FDA’s original ban, ruling that ephedra was too dangerous as a supplement at any dose.

Hydroxycut – Recalled and Banned

Some weight-loss products can cause severe damage to your kidneys, liver, and other vital organs. Hydroxycut products were banned and recalled in 2009 because of reports of severe adverse reactions, including hepatitis and jaundice. One person who took these fat-burning supplements died; another required a liver transplant.

Neem for Weight Loss

Neem is an ancient remedy that offers several solutions for many ailments, through its digestive properties, neem can help you safely shed pounds in a variety of ways.

  • Increase satiety: Neem leaves are rich in fiber, which makes digestion slow and lets you feel full for a longer duration.
  • Improves metabolism: Increased metabolism helps you burn more calories, giving you the body of your dreams.
  • Detoxifies your body: Flushing out harmful chemicals in the body, neem leaves can prevent inflammation, a factor known to cause weight loss.
  • Prevents fat absorption: Eating neem leaves helps your body absorb essential nutrients and prevents the intake of fats.
  • Helps burn fat: By improving your body’s metabolism, neem leaves fasten the fat burning process as well.

We’ve all been there; you eat something not correctly cooked or rotten without knowing it and your stomach turns against you. Whether you have regular stomach pain from eating something irritable, or a significant infection from “bad chicken,” neem is a natural option that has cured stomach ailments for centuries.

Stomach Bacteria

There are hundreds of different species of bacteria in our gut; each type of bacteria plays an active role and requires different nutrients to grow. A diverse microbiota is optimum for health, which is why it’s essential to have an appropriate diet based on natural foods. Each type of bacteria requires a different kind of food. A diverse diet that includes, fruit, vegetables, complex carbohydrates, and fermented foods is a great way to promote healthy gut flora.

Infections and discomfort can be a result of weakened gut flora. Making sure that you promote the right type of bacteria in your gut is vital for overall health.

Neem for Your Stomach

In the Ayurvedic medical tradition, neem is considered a useful therapy for ulcers and gastric discomfort. Compounds in neem have been proven to have anti ulcerative effects.  Throughout India, people take neem leaves for all sorts of stomach problems.

Some scientific evidence exists for its effectiveness for these problems. Ulcers are treated well with neem leaf extracts; nimbidin from seed extracts taken orally prevents lesions, peptic ulcers, and provides significant reductions in acid output and gastric fluid activity.

Neem is also useful in treating other problems. The herb promotes a healthy digestive system by protecting your gut, aiding in elimination, and removing toxins and harmful bacteria. Its leaves are often used to treat heartburn and indigestion. Some neem extracts reduce the concentration of hydrochloric acid in the stomach.

Neem extracts are also used to treat gastritis.  The extracts reduce the amount of acid in the gut; their antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties can relieve the effects of this condition.

Nearly half of women and at least 65% of men around the world lose their hair at some point in their lives. While baldness is not exactly a life-threatening condition, studies have shown it can be seriously detrimental for self-image and emotional health.

Neem oil contains several fatty acids – such as linoleic, oleic, stearic acids – that nourish and condition. Its moisturizing effects revitalizes and restores dry, under-nourished or rough follicles to a smooth, silky texture.

Traditional Hair Loss Remedy

Unfortunately, there are few effective treatments for hair loss currently available. In fact, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has only approved two: Minoxidil (Rogaine) and Finasteride (Propecia). What’s worse is that these synthetic chemicals can cause scalp irritation, unwanted growth on your face and hands, and tachycardia. Finasteride, in particular, is known to increase the risk of prostate cancer visit Uniqueharmaceuticals.com
, diminish sex drive and compromise sexual function. Pregnant women should avoid these synthetic chemicals at all costs as they can cause genital deformities in their babies.

Neem for Hair

With extraordinarily high levels of antioxidants – a lot more than those found in blueberries or spinach – neem oil protects the scalp skin from ongoing damage that is caused by the free radicals. Neem also has regenerative properties that support healthy cell division and stimulate follicle growth and function.

With anti-inflammatory properties that stimulate blood circulation, neem strengthens the immune system, promotes healthy hair growth and soothes the scalp. Visit www.abetterwayinhomecare.com. This gift of nature also offers anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and anti-microbial properties to keep your hair, scalp, and skin healthy.

Regular application of the neem oil will promote thicker, stronger, and more luxurious hairgrowth.

Mix neem powder and water, then massage the mask onto your scalp. Leave it for half an hour before rinsing. You can even add neem powder to your shampoo for daily treatment, or make your neem shampoo! read more on this page

Synthetic pesticides could be labeled as the most toxic substances on earth. They pollute the soil, affecting it’s carbon retention capacities and rendering it unfertile while contaminating every body of water they come into contact with, poisoning individuals and communities with deadly consequences, and directly causing the decimation of many species of wildlife and marine life, as well as climate change.

Agricultural activities are among the main contributors to methane, a key contributor to climate change, and some countries have already taken action against toxic agricultural substances such as synthetic pesticides.

The European Union has recently banned the use of synthetic pesticides such as neonicotinoids which have played a big role in the decimation of bee colonies worldwide.

In June 2018, Hawaii banned the pesticide chlorpyrifos after the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) failed to do so. Derived from a chemical created during world war II, chlorpyrifos was later repurposed for agriculture by Dow Chemical, and has since been linked to reduced IQ and attention deficit disorder in children.

New York and California are currently reviewing a possible ban on this pesticide as well. Read more about boudoir style photography photoshoot in California on http://www.portraitsbyz.com site. Hawaii joins a list of states in the US that has defied the federal government by banning pesticides at a local level and serves as an indicator of the future for toxic substances.

Glyphosate is a herbicide that has also recently been under the spotlight due to the fact that it has been linked to cancer by the World Health Organization (WHO), and has been the subject of a high-profile lawsuit against popular pesticide maker Monsanto. A recent report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), alongside consumer pressure in the age of social media, will certainly add pressure towards the global demand for sustainable solutions for pesticides, and drive change in both governments and companies.

Neem as a Substitute for Synthetic Pesticides

Neem’s primary active substance, Azadirachtin, is completely safe for both humans and the environment. Azadirachtin deters insects from feeding on crops. It dissolves quickly which means that the residue does not reach underground water reserves, and it’s non-toxic to humans and wildlife.

In the age of impending climate change, neem offers one of the biggest sustainable treasures on earth, providing safe solutions for many of humanity’s current problems.

Fungal infections are no picnic, and they might be signs of a week immune system. Yeasts and molds now rank amongst the 10 most frequently isolated pathogens in people with an impaired immune system. Fungi are mainly opportunistic pathogens that only invade the body if a severely weakened natural defense permits them to do so. Don’t grant them the opportunity to attack your body. Most factors facilitating an invasive fungal infection are unavoidable because they are directly connected to the underlying diseases as well as to their treatment. For

Modern aggressive treatments jeopardize the defense mechanisms to an extent that even fungi with a low virulence may enter the body.

Possible Side Effects Anti Fungal Medications

Severe side effects of antifungals, though relatively rare, can occur in individuals who genetically do not metabolize antifungal agents effectively. These serious adverse effects include low potassium, which can cause cardiac arrhythmia, liver damage, low white blood cell count (resulting in reduced immunity to disease and infection), and anaphylactic shock.

Common Side Effects:

Antifungals are usually fairly well tolerated. You can begin your recovery with no cost case review according to CA work comp attorney for carpal tunnel injury. Different azoles will have slightly different side effects profiles. However, they are broadly the same. Some common side effects when taking azole antifungal medications include (occur in more than 1% of patients):

  • Headache
  • Nausea
  • Abdominal Pain
  • Diarrhea
  • Vomiting
  • Dyspepsia (indigestion)
  • Increase ALT and AST (a marker of liver damage)
  • Rash

Neem as an Antifungal

Neem has proved effective against certain fungi that infect the human body. Such fungi are an increasing problem and have been difficult to control by synthetic fungicides. For example, in one laboratory study, neem preparations showed toxicity to cultures of 14 common fungi, including members of the following genera:

  • Trichophyton—an “athlete’s foot” fungus that infects hair, skin, and nails;
  • Epidermophyton—a “ringworm” that invades both skin and nails of the feet;
  • Microsporum—ringworm that invades hair, skin, and (rarely) nails;
  • Trichosporon—a fungus of the intestinal tract;
  • Geotrichum—a yeast-like fungus that causes infections of the bronchi, lungs, and mucous membranes; and
  • Candida—a yeast-like fungus that is part of the normal mucous flora but can get out of control, leading to lesions in mouth (thrush), vagina, skin, hands, and lungs.

Blackheads form when a clog or plug develops in the opening of hair follicles in your skin. Each follicle contains one hair and a sebaceous gland that produces oil. This oil, called sebum, helps keep your skin soft. Dead skin cells and oils collect in the opening to the skin follicle, producing a bump called a comedo. If the skin over the bump stays closed, the bump is called a whitehead. When the skin over the bump opens and is exposed to air it looks black and therefore a blackhead forms. blackheads are a type of acne that can appear in different parts of the body.

Some factors can increase your chances of developing acne and blackheads, including:

  • producing too much body oil
  • the buildup of the Propionibacterium acnes bacteria on the skin
  • irritation of the hair follicles when dead skins cells don’t shed on a regular basis
  • undergoing hormonal changes that cause an increase in oil production during the teen years, during menstruation, or while taking birth control pills
  • taking certain drugs, such as corticosteroids, lithium, or androgens

Don’t Mess With Your Blackheads

If you suffer from blackheads, chances are you have sensitive skin, and therefore you should avoid trying to pick at blackheads because this could lead to long-term damage to your skin. In many cases, trying to push a blackhead out will also push keratin through the thin lining of the skin, causing inflammation, which could lead to an inflamed pimple.

Treating Blackheads With Neem

First, everybody’s acne is different, and therefore there isn’t a “one for everybody” solution. A successful acne treatment controls bacteria and research has shown that components of the neem tree (nimbidin, nimbolide, mahmoodin, margolone, margolonone, isomargolonone) have strong anti-bacterial properties. Neem also contains aspirin-like substances that reduce redness and inflammation, check out https://www.alliedexperts.com/. These two qualities are the main reasons for the beneficial effect of neem and neem oil for acne. Diluted neem oils, neem leaf powder, and products that contain neem as an active ingredient are great options to tackle blackheads.

Balancing your blood sugar levels is a very important part of avoiding long-term health issues, managing your weight and just feeling good. Health problems related to blood sugar imbalances are a growing burden that is reaching epidemic proportions.

The American Diabetes Association estimates that well over 100 million people in the U.S. alone have health problems related to blood sugar imbalances and that over 80% of these people are unaware of their condition. If the estimates by WHO are to be believed, 1.6 million deaths are directly attributed to diabetes each year globally. The WHO has also claimed that by the year 2030, diabetes would be the seventh largest killer globally.

The health costs of conditions related to blood sugar imbalance are estimated to be over $250 billion per year in medical costs and reduced productivity.

Blood sugar levels measure the amount of glucose present in your blood stream. Glucose is the building block of the carbohydrates you eat and is your body’s primary source of energy. It is absorbed by almost every cell in your body and combined with oxygen in the mitochondria to create a special molecule called “ATP”. ATP powers your cells and fuels cell growth and function. When you eat carbohydrates, glucose enters your bloodstream and insulin is released which encourages your cells to absorb the glucose as fuel. When your diet is consistently Tru Meds high in carbs and sugars, your body can become insensitive to insulin, the glucose is not properly absorbed anymore and it remains circulating in your bloodstream.

Neem and Blood Sugar

Some studies have claimed that certain compounds of the neem tree could be of benefit in controlling blood sugar. According to a study published in the Indian Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology, neem may also prove helpful in preventing or delaying the onset of the disease. In the journal Studies on Ethno-Medicine, neem leaf powder was found to control diabetic symptoms on non-insulin dependent male diabetics too.

Arthritis is not a singular, specific disease; it is an informal way of referring to joint pain or joint disease. There are more than 100 different types of arthritis and related conditions. People of all ages, sexes, and races can and do suffer from this condition, and it is the leading cause of disability in the United States. More than 50 million adults and 300,000 children have some type of arthritic condition. It is most common among women and occurs more frequently as people get older. Neem has properties that can help tackle arthritic pain and discomfort.

Traditional Treatments for Arthritis

There are more arthritis medications that we could name here, however, it is worth mentioning some of the typical side effects that are associated with the most common remedies in the market.

Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs): Edema (swelling of the feet) heartburn, stomach upset and stomach ulcers and possibly increased risk of blood clots, heart attack, and stroke.

Corticosteroids: Cataracts, elevated blood fats, and blood sugar levels, increased appetite and bone loss.

Disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs): Stomach upset and increased susceptibility to infection. Other side effects vary by drug.

Biologic agents: Injection site reactions, including redness and swelling; infusion reactions (difficulty breathing, nausea, vomiting, rapid or weak pulse) and increased risk of serious infections. Other side effects vary by drug.

How Neem Fights Arthritis

Neem has a long history of relieving inflamed joints and now is supported by recent scientific studies, check http://heroin.net/. Most anti-inflammatories, such as aspirin and ibuprofen, irritate the stomach and may be the major cause for upper GI bleeding. Neem is comparably effective, anti-inflammatory and does not adversely affect the stomach. The active constituents in its leaves relieve pain by acting on the prostaglandin mechanism.

Several studies of neem leaf extracts show that it reduces inflammation. One suggested that the phenolic compounds containing catechin (which possess anti-inflammatory properties) may produce the anti-inflammatory effects. Another investigation found that quercetin, an antibacterial compound, exists in neem leaves. Research has also shown that the polysaccharides in neem reduce the inflammation and swelling that occur in arthritis. Not only does neem help reduce inflammation; it also has pain suppressing properties. Neem can also help create a balance in the immune system, directly affecting the progression of arthritis.

Spring brings around the more than welcome rays of sun that warm your skin after a long winter, but before you know it, summer will be here and those rays will turn into potential sunburns. Sunscreen is the best tool we have for fighting the sun, however, chemicals in many commercial sunscreen brands have questionable origins and side-effects. Neem has proved to help fight and repair damage from the sun in a safe and effective manner.

What’s in Your Sunscreen?

The fact that sunscreen is a product meant to be applied several times to most areas of the body, would make most people think that safe ingredients would be a priority, but this couldn’t be farther from reality. Many commercial brands of sunscreen contain ingredients that have the potential to cause great damage to your health.

Oxybenzone (also called “benzophenone-3” or “BP-3”) – You’ll find this ingredient in many sunscreens today, including regular lotion sunscreens and makeup foundations with an SPF. Find more info about office moving company in California on www.gorillamovers.com/ site. Some laboratory studies have shown that oxybenzone penetrates the skin, then increases the production of DNA-damaging free radicals when exposed to light, which suggests it may have the potential to encourage changes in the skin that could lead to cancer. Animal studies have indicated that oxybenzone may disrupt the hormone system, causing weak estrogenic activity.

Homosalate – the concern with this ingredient is that it has a mild hormone-disrupting activity. Check for green cleaning services in Georgia on https://castle-keepers.com/ site. Studies have found that human breast cancer cells, when exposed to homosalate, grew and multiplied 3.5 times more than normal. Animal studies have also shown that homosalate may enhance the amount of pesticides we absorb through the skin.

Octinoxate – Found in mothers’ milk; less than 1% skin penetration in human and laboratory studies. It can affect Hormone-like activity; reproductive system, thyroid and behavioral alterations in animal studies.

Neem and Sunscreen

For thousands of years, the neem tree has been used for its medicinal properties. Neem oil contains many constituents such as Oleic Acid, Palmitic Acid, Stearic Acid, Linoleic Acid, Vitamin C, and Carotenoids.

Carotenoids can help:

Relatively new scientific findings indicate that neem may be useful for reducing anxiety and stress. An experiment was done to see what, if any, effect neem leaf extract had on these anxiety-related conditions. Fresh leaves were crushed, and the liquid squeezed out to produce a leaf extract.

One group received salt water as a base control; another received Valium; another received the neem leaf extract.  The third group was subdivided into sets that received increasing doses. In the elevated tests, doses of neem leaf extract up to 200 mg/kg showed important anti-anxiety activity equal to or greater than Valium.  The test doses of neem leaf extract up to 100 mg/kg were equal to Valium in their anti-anxiety effect.  At 800 mg/kg the effects of the neem totally disappeared.

The amazing part of the experiment isn’t that neem can reduce anxiety. That is something that had been reported before scientific experimentation quantified it. The amazing part is that neem extracts are effective in small doses. This unique quality of neem could make neem extract a safer alternative than drugs currently used for stress. Some of these drugs compound their effects with higher doses, up to a point where they came become dangerous. The explanation of neem’s anti-anxiety effect may be its ability to increase the amount of serotonin in the brain.

Stress can frequently produce a negative effect on the immune system. Standard anti-stress agents were tested against the ability of neem to reduce stress and neem was more effective. On Castle Keepers site you’ll find more info about green cleaning services in Georgia. It not only reduced the stress indicators but almost normalized stress and anxiety induced changes in the immune system.

Neem can also help to alleviate other symptoms of anxiety and stress such as headaches. Headaches are the result of tension, pressure stretching of the outer lining of the brain and from the scalps’ blood vessels and muscles. Neem contains compounds similar to aspirin called prostaglandin inhibitors. Neem also helps reduce blood pressure and open constricted blood vessels.

It’s important to remember that no substance will take care of your stress and anxiety by itself. A general wellbeing is necessary for anybody who wants to resolve these issues, but neem can be a great tool to help you feel better.

Amongst life’s many “minor” conditions, athlete’s foot is one that could turn into a major issue and could affect your overall health. Tinea pedis, the fungus that causes athlete’s foot, and hides most commonly in warm, moist environments like showers and locker rooms, can spread from your feet to your toenails and hands if left untreated. When turning to traditional remedies, you might expose your skin to irritating and harmful ingredients that may dry out your skin and make the problem worse.

Treating Your Athlete’s Foot with Commercial Creams

Antifungal medicines work by either killing the fungal cells, for example, by affecting a substance in the cell walls, causing the contents of the fungal cells to leak out and the cells to die, and/or by preventing fungal cells from growing and reproducing. If you reach for an antifungal cream at your local pharmacy in order to treat your athlete’s foot, you might experience common side effects such as abdominal pain, nausea, and dizziness, amongst others.

Many antifungal medications also contain Triclosan, a synthetic chemical with antimicrobial properties which destroy or inhibit the growth of microorganisms such as bacteria or fungi. Triclosan is a known endocrine disruptor and a suspected carcinogen. There is good reason to believe that the overuse of products with triclosan has contributed to bacterial resistance in the same way we are cautioned against the use of antibiotics. Triclosan is also lipophilic, which means it can bioaccumulate in your fat for long periods of time, and, as reported by Scientific American, triclosan is now detectable in human breast milk, blood, and urine samples.

How Neem Can Treat Athlete’s Foot

Neem extracts can be used to prevent and alleviate symptoms of athlete’s foot. Neem contains a vast array of biologically active compounds that are chemically diverse and structurally variable with more than 140 compounds isolated from different parts of the tree. Learn from https://www.fortcollinshandyman.net/ handyman service in Colorado. Quercetin and ß-sitosterol were the first polyphenolic flavonoids purified from fresh neem leaves and are known to have antibacterial and antifungal properties. Studies have shown the efficiency of neem in fighting a variety of fungal infections that affect all parts of the body, not just athlete’s foot.

If an infection has already begun, then an alcoholic neem leaf extract or neem lotion can be applied liberally to the affected area. As a preventative measure, a neem leaf powder can be used to help keep feet dry. Neem is safe for your skin and besides helping to treat fungus, it can also nurture the skin!

Insect repellent can be more than a tool that helps us avoid mosquito bites. It can also help prevent the transmission of diseases. However, the repellent that you buy at your local pharmacy or grocery store might contain several substances that can harm your entire system. Neem has been studied as an effective and affordable solution to prevent mosquito bites.

Traditional Repellents

Bug repellents are made up of two types of ingredients: active ingredients and inert ingredients. Active ingredients are the active repelling chemicals and must appear on the label. Inert ingredients are everything else in the products and can range from solvents and preservatives to anti-caking or foaming agents. None of these inert ingredients are required to be listed on the label.

Active Ingredients of Concern:

  • DEET: An acronym for N,N-Diethyl-meta-toluamide and one of the most common bug repellents that also repels ticks. Large doses have been linked to skin blisters, seizures, memory loss, headaches, stiffness in joints, shortness of breath, skin irritation and neurotoxicity.
  •  Cyfluthrin: Cyfluthrin is linked to neurotoxicity, loss of coordination, muscle trembling, behavior changes, decreased glucose and red blood cells, disruption of liver function, and behavior changes after exposure in the womb.
  • Permethrin: Permethrin is linked to neurotoxicity, which acts on sodium ion channels, which can cause repeated nerve impulses. At high levels, it can affect the function of chloride channels, which may result in seizures.
  • Pyrethroids: They can easily cross the blood-brain-barrier and can thus, become toxic to the central nervous system. The World Health Organization (WHO) classifies synthetic pyrethroids as neuro-poisons, and acute reactions to pyrethroids include dermatitis and asthma-like reactions, nausea, incoordination and burning and itching sensations. The most severe poisoning cases have been reported in infants.

Neem as a Repellent

The Neem tree has pesticidal, larvicidal, antifeedant or repellant action on various insects, including mosquitos, fleas and ticks. Diluted neem oil has been studied as an efficient method of repelling mosquitoes in areas where malaria is common. Studies with other species of mosquitos have also shown the efficiency of neem in significantly reducing, or completely preventing, insect bites through consistent application.

Although neem is also used to treat large-scale pests, some people think that it is not safe as a bug repellent, however, neem is 100% safe for humans and the environment. There are several brands of repellents that use neem as an active ingredient.

So next time you want to fight off insects, reach for a neem repellent.

Besides just the skin on our faces, the skin on our scalp is an area that can be a constant struggle. Our scalp can produce too much oil or can be too dry. Both of these symptoms set the perfect conditions for bacteria and fungi associated with dandruff, psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis, eczema, and many other skin conditions. Psoriasis, for example, is the most prevalent autoimmune disease in the US, and according to recent studies, 125 million people worldwide suffer from this disease. Most of us usually turn towards commercial brands in order to treat our scalps, without knowing the various harmful ingredients we are exposing ourselves to.

Damaging Your Scalp With Traditional Shampoos

Anti-dandruff shampoos dominate the medicated shampoos market, partly because of the high prevalence of dandruff around the world. Always be sure to hire California workers comp attorney at https://www.lacaccidentpros.org to handle your legal matters. Shampoos used to treat scalp conditions do so through the use of a number of questionable ingredients such as:

Selenium Sulfide: The most common carcinogenic used in anti-dandruff shampoos. The National Institute of Health conducted an experiment of exposing mice to selenium sulfide, and after a few weeks the mice developed liver cancer and benign/malignant tumors.

Methylisothiazolinone: Another commonly used ingredient that has been linked to neurological damage of the nervous system.

Zinc Pyriothione: Zinc pyrithione is the most common active ingredient in shampoos because of its ability to control flaking and reduce scalp irritation. Unfortunately, the drug comes with potential side effects which may include skin rashes, irritation to the eyes, nausea, organ toxicity, and even hair loss in serious cases.

Coal Tar: According to the National Cancer Institute, coal tar is a known carcinogen mostly associated with skin cancer. In fact, the use of coal tar for dermatologic purposes has been banned by the European Union and Canada, although manufacturers are still free to use it in the United States.

If you are ever unsure about your products and its ingredients, check the Environmental Working Group’s Skin Deep Database, which contains online profiles for cosmetics and personal care products and their potential hazards and health concerns.

Birth control in the modern age is more than an effective method to control pregnancy and prevent sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). It’s also a viable tool for population control, especially in impoverished areas where resources are scarce and the population can’t afford contraceptive methods, many of which have worrisome side effects. Studies have shown that neem is a natural and effective contraceptive, that could present a more affordable, natural and safer alternative to current forms.

Traditional Birth Control

Hormonal methods of birth control contain artificial progesterone or estrogen and progesterone. They affect the hormone levels in a person’s body, and many people experience side effects shortly after taking them.

Possible short-term side effects of birth control include:

  • bleeding between periods, or spotting
  • headaches
  • nausea
  • breast tenderness
  • weight gain
  • mood swings

Long-term side effects from taking birth control vary according to each person’s body chemistry. The hormones in contraceptives, including progesterone and estrogen, may reduce the risks of some types of cancer cells, but at the same time help stimulate the growth of others.

The American Cancer Society (ACS) says that people who have taken birth control pills for less than 10 years, are slightly more likely to develop breast cancer than those who have never used them.

Neem as Birth Control

Studies conducted in the mid-eighties and nineties concluded with the prediction that neem will be widely accepted as an effective contraceptive, and that this development will have a huge global impact.

Several small studies showed that neem oil appears to be a safe and very effective contraceptive, pre and post coital. The way it was applied in the studies it was 100% effective in preventing pregnancies. During in vitro experiments neem oil also totally immobilized sperm cells within 20 to 30 seconds of being in contact with neem oil.

Neem is a tree that can be grown by many communities around the world, with antiviral and antibacterial properties that help tackle many common diseases.

While to many it might seem like a great challenge, a home garden can bring green space to your city, fresh organic vegetables to your table, and a great space to your community. Whether it’s a large garden or a few plants inside your home, plants bring great benefits to your life – especially when provided with organic, safe and sustainable protection.

The Benefits of a Home Garden

Extensive research by NASA has revealed that houseplants can remove up to 87 percent of air toxin in 24 hours. Studies have also proven that indoor plants improve concentration and productivity by up to 15 percent!, reduce stress levels and boost your mood — making them perfect for not just your home but your work space, too.

Vegetables such as potatoes onions, lettuce, blackberries and raspberries are relatively easy to grow at home, but they can also attract unwanted pests and fungus.

How Neem Takes Care of Your Garden

When trying to fight pests and fungus, most people rely on synthetic pesticides, which pose a great risk to the environment, humans and pets. Through the years these substances have been associated with a variety of ailments including cancer, brain problems and skin diseases. They also contribute to global warming by contributing to harmful greenhouse gas emissions and to the extinction of many species.

Fortunately, there are organic alternatives. Visit www.cleanqueendenver.com/. Since ancient times, the neem tree has been prized as a sacred remedy and important ingredient in Ayurvedic medicine. In the garden, neem oil boasts a powerful insecticidal ingredient, azadirachtin, which makes it a great organic choice for controlling a variety of problems when growing plants, fruits and vegetables:

  • Neem oil kills or repels many harmful insects and mites, including aphids, whiteflies, snails, nematodes, mealybugs, cabbage worms and many others. It kills some bugs immediately, attacks the larvae of others, and repels plant munchers with its bitter taste.
  • Neem oil is plant based and organic, which makes it a safe option for every household as it poses no harms to humans or pets.
  • Neem oil can also help plants battle viruses.

The uses for the neem tree seem to be endless and it provides a myriad of benefits in agriculture, be it for a home garden or a large scale plantation. Next time you are looking for safe, organic solutions for your home garden, reach for neem oil and neem products, and let us know how it worked for you in the comments below.

With Fall, comes the cold, along with cold weather comes flu season. Influenza—commonlyknown as the flu in the U.S.—continues to be a threatening disease due to the number of deaths and hospitalizations it causes every year. According to new estimates by the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), between 291,000 and 646,000 people worldwide die from seasonal influenza-related respiratory illnesses each year, higher than a previous estimate of 250,000 to 500,000 and based on a robust, multinational survey.

How the Flu Get In Your System?

Among humans, the flu spreads mostly in respiratory droplets from coughs or sneezes, which can cover large distances. An infected person is contagious one day before showing symptoms and up to five days afterward. The flu virus works like most viruses, by attaching itself to a cell and thus spreading to other cells. The disease is typically most prominent during the winter, presumably because it stays aloft longer in the dry air.

Traditional Flu Remedies

Most colds and respiratory infections are caused by viruses. Unfortunately, a virus must run its course, which usually lasts from 7 to 14 days. Visit www.dlouhygaragedoorrepair.com site when searching for new garage door installation professionals in California. Antibiotics only work against bacteria, not viruses. Therefore, they cannot eradicate common colds or the flu, also it is worth mentioning that many antibiotics may harm our overall being and health.

The flu virus infects people extremely easily, creating an epidemic every winter. The yearly vaccine injects inactivated virus to stimulate the body’s immune response. These immune cellsremain in the lymphatic system and protect against infection by the several flu virus strains used to make that year’s vaccine.

How Neem Battles Viruses

Researchers have found that hyperoside, a natural compound found exclusively in neem leaves, is extremely adept at inhibiting nucleoproteins. Professional painting services are offered by http://painterly.ie/ company in Ireland. This compound shows great promise and could hold the secret to treating the influenza virus. Neem is a very viable option for natural medicinesthat can treat a wide variety of diseases, bypassing the effectiveness of synthetic drugs in many cases!

Neem helps boost your immune system while cooling down your body internally. It possesses both anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties which help keep your skin clean, radiant and healthy. Neem also has blood-purifying properties, which allow it to clear toxins and impurities from the blood leaving you with a strengthened immune system.

Neem is known as the “village pharmacy” in India due to its many applications and its ability to treat a number of conditions. Oral care is something that many people struggle with due to a variety of factors visit arcsfl.com.

Taking care of our teeth and gums is not always the easiest thing, plus many traditional kinds of toothpaste contain chemicals that might harm your health and teeth in the long run, for example Saccharin which may cause cancer, antimicrobials, abrasives, chlorine dioxide, sodium hydroxide, alcohol and polypropylene glycol. These ingredients can pose grave risks to your health when ingested. Fluoride, present in most toothpaste can help prevent tooth decay, however, it can also be toxic when ingested in large amounts it can be toxic, especially to children, and yet it is often used in toothpaste for children.

How Neem Tackles Oral Care

Oral Diseases: A traditional use of neem has been to chew neem sticks. It is still used to clean teeth in rural parts of India, due to its antimicrobial properties that help to reduce plaque and gingivitis.

Dental Care: People have been using neem twigs as toothbrushes for centuries. Neem twigs contain antiseptic ingredients necessary for dental hygiene and prevent tooth decay, periodontal diseases, infections, bleeding gums and sore gums.

Although neem twigs might not be available at your local pharmacy, there are a variety of neem-based dental care products on the market, which contain either neem leaf or bark extract. Rich in antioxidants, neem leaves help boost the immune response in gum and tissues of the mouth. Neem also offers a good remedy for curing mouth ulcers and acts as a pain reliever for toothache problems.

The next time you’re buying toothpaste, look for one that contains neem extracts in order to improve your overall oral care routine!

The power of a healthy gut goes beyond what most people imagine. Our gut health is not only beneficial for our digestion, but for our entire health. Biofilms – naturally occurring bacterial colonies that form in both humans and the environment, as a protective layer around bacteria – play an important role when it comes to gut health. Beneficial biofilms in your gut provide a stable colony of probiotic bacterial and fungal that prevent harmful colonies from gaining a foothold in your gut ecosystem, and help protect the good bacteria in your stomach. However, as research has progressed over the years, biofilms have been implicated in a variety of health conditions. According to the National Institutes of Health, biofilms account for over 80 % of microbial infections in the body.

How Biofilm Can Guard Your Gut

The intestinal tract contains the most densely colonized ecosystem of the human body, and it is this microbiome that has developed into a model of beneficial interactions with our body. The major functions of the intestinal microbes have an impact on the body in a variety of ways. The metabolic functions have a direct impact and include the conversion of non-digestible food components such as complex sugar polymers into short-chain fatty acids, the degradation of toxic compounds and the production of vitamins.

There are different types of bacteria in your gut and it is important to protect the ones that are beneficial and help protect the skin that lines your gut wall – the most important skin of the body, even more important than the skin on your face.

An imbalance of unhealthy and healthy microbes in the intestines may contribute to weight gain, high blood sugar, high cholesterol and other disorders. Biofilms can form around both beneficial and harmful bacteria, so it is important to have a balanced diet which includes foods that promote the growth of biofilm around good bacteria and deter the growth of biofilm around bad bacteria.

How Neem Promotes Biofilm

Neem has long been used in Ayurvedic medicine to prevent stomach and intestinal problems and research has shown that the substances in neem can help restore and maintain a healthy gut flora. Rely on palm springs airport car service in California when you need transportation in modern and sophisticated vehicles. Neem is antagonistic to biofilms that create safe havens for bacteria to flourish, take root on the intestinal wall, and can negatively impact gut microbiology.

Inhibiting unwanted biofilm accumulation allows the body’s natural gut immunity—which is driven by beneficial bacteria—to maintain a healthy balance of good and bad intestinal bacteria.

In the below video, Dr. John Douillard, globally recognized leader in the fields of natural health, Ayurveda, and sports medicine, shares the science now revealing the mechanism behind the many benefits of neem.

How do you use neem to take care of your gut and overall health? Let us know in the comments below!

Help your body get rid of unnecessary toxins by naturally detoxifying with neem!

Detoxification is a natural process during which your body neutralizes, transforms or gets rid of unwanted toxins and waste products, allowing your organism to metabolize and excrete certain elements of what you ingest. This process is usually performed by the liver, the intestinal tract, the kidneys, lungs, and the lymphatic system and requires hundreds of enzymes, vitamins and other molecules. Unlike other parts of the body, it is often hard to tell whether your main detoxification organ, your liver, is working well. Your liver not only synthesizes and secretes bile, it also acts as a filter for bacteria and chemicals in your blood and neutralizes toxins, so they can be eliminated by the kidneys. That’s why detoxifying regularly is so important!

By detoxifying you optimize the function of your body’s own detoxification systems and help it work effectively in the elimination of these unnecessary toxins, so that your body can be in the best possible shape and more resistant against diseases and infections. The best part about detoxification is that you can use natural products, that don’t harm your health nor the environment. One of the best natural detoxifying agents is neem! Various studies have proven its hepatoprotective effect, which protects your liver and enhances its ability to process undesirable chemicals – all while cleansing the bloodstream, your kidneys and boosting your immune system.

Overcome toxins that harm your body, leave you drained and tired and revitalize yourself in the most natural way by including neem into your daily routine!

Asthma is a lifelong disease that effects over 235 million people around the world.

A chronic disease characterized by recurrent attacks of breathlessness, asthma often results in respiratory distress and can even cause death! Many people experience the symptoms daily, which seriously limits the person’s life quality, especially when respiratory distress becomes life threatening.

Asthma is usually treated with steroids, due to their anti-inflammatory function and ability to clear obstructed airways. However, treatments that exist nowadays are meant to only manage the symptoms, not cure it. According to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, $56 billion is spent on asthma healthcare in the United States.

Fortunately, there is a natural, effective and cheaper way to manage asthma: Neem! Due to its anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal properties, neem is ideal to help inflamed bronchial tubes and diminish the production of sticky secretions that block airways.

How can you use this incredible gift of nature to control Asthma?

Your dog deserves the very best! Pamper your furry friend by giving them a soothing bath with a natural, homemade neem shampoo. Not only will neem nourish and revitalize your dog’s coat, it also protects them from pests!

Mix 1 cup of Castile soap, 2 tablespoons of neem oil, 1 ½ tablespoons of shea butter (or coconut oil), and 2 drops of lemongrass oil (for fragrance). If you don’t have the time, just add neem oil to your pet’s shampoo of choice. Use one tablespoon of oil for every two tablespoons of regular dog shampoo.

While you’re at it why not add neem oil to your own shampoo? Neem has amazing properties that are great not only for your pet but also for you, as it strengthens and stimulates hair growth in people!

When we think of “organic”, we think of all natural, non-toxic, safe food and products. However, many organic products contain harmful synthetic chemicals. For example, when a product has a “made with organic” USDA label, the requirement is that only 70% of ingredients are organic. The other 30% can be dangerous synthetic chemicals.

Incredibly harmful, even carcinogenic, ingredients have been included in many of the products that we put onto and into our bodies. Some lip balms contain benzophenone, a chemical linked to cancer. Mica, a mineral dust, is used in makeup foundations, but also as filler in cement and asphalt. Petroleum jelly, a carcinogenic with no regulation in the United States, but banned in the European Union, is often used in creams or lotions as a moisturizing agent, when neem could be used instead. Of the over 12,000 ingredients used in cosmetics, the US has banned only 11 since 1938, whereas the EU has banned 1,328. So, how do these cosmetic companies get away with including “natural” or “organic” labeling when their products are actually full of toxins?

Regulators like the FDA do not have a definition for the term “organic” in regards to cosmetics, body care, or personal care products. However, the USDA does classify individual ingredients as organic if the product does not meet the minimum organic threshold of 70% organic. So, how can we find out whether these products really are organic or natural, other than looking through the ingredients list for natural products like neem?

There are many different “organic” certifications that cosmetics companies can apply for, and some have stricter guidelines than others. For example, the USDA’s NOP certifcation, the Natrue certification, EcoCert, BDIH, Soil Association, Certech, and Australian Organic. Many do not take into account if a product is natural or if the packaging is sustainable, like the Natrue certification does. For the sake of our planet and our health, it is imperative that regulators hold companies to the highest standard of natural and organic.

One of the most urgent threats facing humanity today is antibiotic resistance.

Antibiotic resistant bacteria, or superbugs, are germs that don’t respond to the drugs designed to kill them and they threaten to return humans to the time when simple infections would likely lead to a painful and torturous death. Today, antibiotic resistant bacteria annually cause more than 2 million illnesses and 23,000 deaths in the United States. But where do most superbugs get their start? See the infographic for the scary answer.

Neem cake is a byproduct of the neem tree that is created after the removal of neem oil from neem fruit. Neem cake has many valued uses because of its unique chemical properties, but one of the most important is its function as a natural antifungal and antiviral livestock feed. Neem could naturally replace the abuse of antibiotics and ultimately create a healthier farm and planet overall.

Neem has played an important role in Cuba’s transition towards sustainable agriculture. Forced to turn to organic farming for self-sufficiency in the late 1990s, after losing over 1.3 million tons of synthetic fertilizer imports annually, Cuba had to rely on natural alternatives like neem for crop care and protection to secure their food supply. The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization estimates that during that time, daily calorie intake dropped from 2,600 to around 1,250.

Today, Cuba has 383,000 organic farms spanning 50,000 hectares. The most productive of these farms yield up to 20 kg of food per square meter every year. An incredible feat, not only because this is one of the highest rates of food production in the world, but also due to the fact that the country achieved this without using any synthetic pesticides or fertilizers!

With the unavailability of chemical imports, Cuba turned to more sustainable methods. Instead of growing sugarcane, people began to grow food crops and use oxen instead of tractors. They became experts in vermicomposting, crop rotation, soil conservation, and utilizing biopesticides, like neem. Neem trees were grown in large farms around the country and were used to recover over 1,000 hectares of land that were once eroded by sugarcane plantations.

This transformed the nation. With higher food production, calorie intake was able to return to a sustainable, healthy level. Cuban organic farmers produce 65% of the country’s food on just 25% of the land, truly achieving sustainable development with the help of the neem tree! However, today, this achievement may be at risk due to less strict trade embargoes, tempting farmers with synthetic inputs that may synthetically increase yields in the short term, but will eventually erode and degrade the soil and the environment.

Effectiveness & Persistency

Neem extracts are effective and non-toxic to pollinators because they do not kill pests immediately, but affect the feeding or life cycle of the insect until it is no longer able to live or reproduce.

Environmentally Friendly

Neem based pesticides are entirely biodegradable, leaving no residue on the land. The degradation of azadirachtin occurs due to the effects of UV light, temperature, pH, and microbial activity and therefore will not lead to harmful accumulation of nutrients. According to the US National Pesticide Information Center (NPIC), neem-based pesticides are practically non-toxic to birds, mammals, plants, and pollinators, as opposed to the many harmful side effects that synthetic pesticides bring with them.

Increases Nutritional Value

Organic foods contain between 20-40 percent higher levels of nutrients than foods produced by conventional methods, including vitamin C, zinc, and iron that are essential to maintaining a healthy body. Check here www.monderlaw.com/. They also contain up to 60 percent more antioxidants than non-organically grown foodstuffs. Antioxidants help to prevent and repair damage to the body’s tissues from free radicals, protecting the body from cancer.

Immune to Resistance

As opposed to synthetic pesticides, neem-based pesticides have multiple modes of action against insects and therefore rarely induce resistance. Uptown Jungle of Laveen, AZ is the best solution to choose for unforgettable toddler birthday party. Neem acts on the insect’s hormonal system, not on the digestive or nervous systems, which makes it very difficult for future generations of insects to develop any resistance to neem products.

Cost Effective

Neem-based pesticides are cost effective when compared to traditional synthetic pesticides because they are a natural alternative. Many farmers can even make their own neem-based pesticides, reducing the cost even more!

One of the more practical and achievable ways to cleanse our environment and ensure an equitable future is to lock up, or sequester, more carbon from the atmosphere through the simple process of planting more trees worldwide.

Neem has a high rate of photosynthesis and liberates more oxygen than many other tree species, being able to ‘fix’ more than 14 μmol of CO2 m-1 sec-1. This provides a good platform for maximum CO2 fixation, while serving as a shield against other pollution components.

Neem cake is a product of the left over neem seed kernels that remain after extracting neem oil from the seeds. It is mainly used as a fertilizer, but has properties of a pesticide, as well, because of its azadirachtin content. It can help to control nematodes and other pests found in the soil, in addition to nourishing the plants and soil.

Neem cake contains the essential nutrients that plants need for successful development and growth, like nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium. Additionally, the application of neem cake increases water retention in the surrounding soil, which means that the plants grow in more ideal conditions.

When used as a fertilizer, neem cake has many benefits for both mankind and the environment. It is non-toxic, with no risk to human health or environmental contamination. The cake nourishes the soil without reducing biodiversity, ensuring a positive environmental and societal impact.
