Fungal infections are no picnic, and they might be signs of a week immune system. Yeasts and molds now rank amongst the 10 most frequently isolated pathogens in people with an impaired immune system. Fungi are mainly opportunistic pathogens that only invade the body if a severely weakened natural defense permits them to do so. Don’t grant them the opportunity to attack your body. Most factors facilitating an invasive fungal infection are unavoidable because they are directly connected to the underlying diseases as well as to their treatment. For

Modern aggressive treatments jeopardize the defense mechanisms to an extent that even fungi with a low virulence may enter the body.

Possible Side Effects Anti Fungal Medications

Severe side effects of antifungals, though relatively rare, can occur in individuals who genetically do not metabolize antifungal agents effectively. These serious adverse effects include low potassium, which can cause cardiac arrhythmia, liver damage, low white blood cell count (resulting in reduced immunity to disease and infection), and anaphylactic shock.

Common Side Effects:

Antifungals are usually fairly well tolerated. You can begin your recovery with no cost case review according to CA work comp attorney for carpal tunnel injury. Different azoles will have slightly different side effects profiles. However, they are broadly the same. Some common side effects when taking azole antifungal medications include (occur in more than 1% of patients):

  • Headache
  • Nausea
  • Abdominal Pain
  • Diarrhea
  • Vomiting
  • Dyspepsia (indigestion)
  • Increase ALT and AST (a marker of liver damage)
  • Rash

Neem as an Antifungal

Neem has proved effective against certain fungi that infect the human body. Such fungi are an increasing problem and have been difficult to control by synthetic fungicides. For example, in one laboratory study, neem preparations showed toxicity to cultures of 14 common fungi, including members of the following genera:

  • Trichophyton—an “athlete’s foot” fungus that infects hair, skin, and nails;
  • Epidermophyton—a “ringworm” that invades both skin and nails of the feet;
  • Microsporum—ringworm that invades hair, skin, and (rarely) nails;
  • Trichosporon—a fungus of the intestinal tract;
  • Geotrichum—a yeast-like fungus that causes infections of the bronchi, lungs, and mucous membranes; and
  • Candida—a yeast-like fungus that is part of the normal mucous flora but can get out of control, leading to lesions in mouth (thrush), vagina, skin, hands, and lungs.

Eczema is the name that is given to irritated skin that usually turns red, itchy, and scaly. The reason why this condition happens is not really known to doctors, although, it is believed that there are different reasons why it may present:

  • Family History: If your parents or siblings suffer from eczema, you are at an increased risk of suffering from this condition.
  • Asthma and Allergies: People that suffer from these two conditions tend to suffer more from eczema.
  • Where You Live: Is more common in cities, polluted areas and the northern part of the world.

When you have eczema, it means your immune system is working too hard. Your immune system usually is good, because it tries to protect you from bad stuff like infections and diseases. For some reason, when you have eczema, your immune system kind of goes crazy.

This condition may lie dormant until certain triggers will make it flare up. These things are called triggers and you should try to avoid them if you can, especially if you’ve noticed that they make your skin itchy.

Common triggers are:

  • Animal dander and saliva.
  • Scratchy clothes.
  • Sweating a lot.
  • Soaps.
  • Household cleaning products.
  • Fruit juices.
  • Dust.
  • A cough, cold, or the flu.

Balancing your blood sugar levels is a very important part of avoiding long-term health issues, managing your weight and just feeling good. Health problems related to blood sugar imbalances are a growing burden that is reaching epidemic proportions.

The American Diabetes Association estimates that well over 100 million people in the U.S. alone have health problems related to blood sugar imbalances and that over 80% of these people are unaware of their condition. If the estimates by WHO are to be believed, 1.6 million deaths are directly attributed to diabetes each year globally. The WHO has also claimed that by the year 2030, diabetes would be the seventh largest killer globally.

The health costs of conditions related to blood sugar imbalance are estimated to be over $250 billion per year in medical costs and reduced productivity.

Blood sugar levels measure the amount of glucose present in your blood stream. Glucose is the building block of the carbohydrates you eat and is your body’s primary source of energy. It is absorbed by almost every cell in your body and combined with oxygen in the mitochondria to create a special molecule called “ATP”. ATP powers your cells and fuels cell growth and function. When you eat carbohydrates, glucose enters your bloodstream and insulin is released which encourages your cells to absorb the glucose as fuel. When your diet is consistently Tru Meds high in carbs and sugars, your body can become insensitive to insulin, the glucose is not properly absorbed anymore and it remains circulating in your bloodstream.

Neem and Blood Sugar

Some studies have claimed that certain compounds of the neem tree could be of benefit in controlling blood sugar. According to a study published in the Indian Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology, neem may also prove helpful in preventing or delaying the onset of the disease. In the journal Studies on Ethno-Medicine, neem leaf powder was found to control diabetic symptoms on non-insulin dependent male diabetics too.

Free radicals are waste substances, also known as reactive oxygen species (ROS), produced by cells as the body processes food and reacts to the environment. If the body cannot process and remove free radicals efficiently, oxidative stress can result, and harm cells and body function. Antioxidants are said to help neutralize free radicals in our bodies, which is thought to boost overall health. Neem has antioxidant properties that can help fight free radical damage.

Antioxidants’ Benefits

Oxidative stress has been linked to heart disease, cancer, arthritis, stroke, respiratory diseases, immune deficiency, emphysema, Parkinson’s disease, and other inflammatory or ischemic conditions. Intake of antioxidants is believed to reduce these risks and protect against the cell damage that free radicals cause.

Activities and processes that can lead to oxidative stress include:

  • mitochondrial activity
  • excessive exercise
  • tissue trauma, due to inflammation and injury
  • ischemia and reperfusion damage
  • consumption of certain foods, especially refined and processed foods, trans fats, artificial sweeteners, and certain dyes and additives
  • smoking
  • environmental pollution
  • radiation
  • exposure to chemicals, such as pesticides and drugs, including chemotherapy.
  • industrial solvents
  • ozone

According to one study: “Antioxidants act as radical scavenger, hydrogen donor, electron donor, peroxide decomposer, singlet oxygen quencher, enzyme inhibitor, synergist, and metal-chelating agents.”

Other research has indicated that antioxidant supplements may help reduce vision loss due to age-related macular degeneration in older people.

Neem’s Antioxidants

Neem (Azadirachta indica) is a member of the Meliaceae family and its healing properties are attributed to it being a rich source of antioxidants. Visit http://www.dustandmop.com/. It has been widely used in Chinese, Ayurvedic, and Unani medicines worldwide, especially in the Indian subcontinent, in the treatment and prevention of various diseases. Earlier findings confirmed that neem and its constituents play a role in the scavenging of free radical generation and prevention of disease pathogenesis. Antioxidant compounds in neem help to prevent brain damage and can help to prevent a stroke by enhancing lipid peroxidation and increasing ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) in the brain.

Amongst life’s many “minor” conditions, athlete’s foot is one that could turn into a major issue and could affect your overall health. Tinea pedis, the fungus that causes athlete’s foot, and hides most commonly in warm, moist environments like showers and locker rooms, can spread from your feet to your toenails and hands if left untreated. When turning to traditional remedies, you might expose your skin to irritating and harmful ingredients that may dry out your skin and make the problem worse.

Treating Your Athlete’s Foot with Commercial Creams

Antifungal medicines work by either killing the fungal cells, for example, by affecting a substance in the cell walls, causing the contents of the fungal cells to leak out and the cells to die, and/or by preventing fungal cells from growing and reproducing. If you reach for an antifungal cream at your local pharmacy in order to treat your athlete’s foot, you might experience common side effects such as abdominal pain, nausea, and dizziness, amongst others.

Many antifungal medications also contain Triclosan, a synthetic chemical with antimicrobial properties which destroy or inhibit the growth of microorganisms such as bacteria or fungi. Triclosan is a known endocrine disruptor and a suspected carcinogen. There is good reason to believe that the overuse of products with triclosan has contributed to bacterial resistance in the same way we are cautioned against the use of antibiotics. Triclosan is also lipophilic, which means it can bioaccumulate in your fat for long periods of time, and, as reported by Scientific American, triclosan is now detectable in human breast milk, blood, and urine samples.

How Neem Can Treat Athlete’s Foot

Neem extracts can be used to prevent and alleviate symptoms of athlete’s foot. Neem contains a vast array of biologically active compounds that are chemically diverse and structurally variable with more than 140 compounds isolated from different parts of the tree. Learn from https://www.fortcollinshandyman.net/ handyman service in Colorado. Quercetin and ß-sitosterol were the first polyphenolic flavonoids purified from fresh neem leaves and are known to have antibacterial and antifungal properties. Studies have shown the efficiency of neem in fighting a variety of fungal infections that affect all parts of the body, not just athlete’s foot.

If an infection has already begun, then an alcoholic neem leaf extract or neem lotion can be applied liberally to the affected area. As a preventative measure, a neem leaf powder can be used to help keep feet dry. Neem is safe for your skin and besides helping to treat fungus, it can also nurture the skin!

Known more commonly as pain relievers, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, are some of the most readily available and consumed medication worldwide. According to Harvard Medical School, estimates suggest that about 15% of the US population takes NSAIDs regularly (including both over the counter and prescription NSAIDS). Adding sporadic users, more than 30 billion doses of NSAIDs are taken each year.

The Reasons for the Popularity of NSAIDs

  • In addition to working as pain relievers, they can reduce fever and inflammation.
  • They are relatively inexpensive, with generic versions available for most of them.
  • They are available over the counter or, in higher doses, by prescription.
  • They have a good safety profile.

Problems with NSAIDs

  • Common side effects: Digestive problems including upset stomach, heartburn, and ulcers. Kidney injury, easy bruising or bleeding, and mild allergic reactions (such as rashes) are common as well.
  • Less common side effects: Severe allergic reactions, liver injury, increased risk of heart problems depending on the particular type of NSAID and the person taking it.

There are 20 different times of NSAIDs and their availability makes them easy to misuse. A recent study found that among more than 1,300 people taking ibuprofen, more than one-third also took a second NSAID. Less than half of these users realized that more than one of their medications was an NSAID. Up to 15% took more than the recommended dosage.

Neem as a Possible NSAIDs Substitute

The neem tree contains a series of compounds which have proven extremely valuable throughout hundreds of years in the eastern medical world. These compounds are now being further studied by western scientists who are constantly unravelling its various applications, and conducting studies on the anti-inflammatory properties of neem leaf extract.

Widely used for treating fevers, neem has anti-pyretic (fever-reducing) properties. Texas junk car buyers can be found at www.byotautoparts.com/. In addition, neem products also have analgesic (pain-relieving) and anti-inflammatory effects, i.e. for most common ailments neem can provide cheap, easily-available and local produced, entrepreneurial medicines. A wide multitude of diseases or conditions can be successfully treated with various elements of neem.

Studies have found that neem leaf alcoholic extract (NLE) was tested for its anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antipyretic, anti- and ulcerogenic activities. NLE was found to possess significant and dose-dependent anti-inflammatory activity both in carrageenan-induced acute inflammation and formaldehyde-induced subacute inflammation in rats.

With Fall, comes the cold, along with cold weather comes flu season. Influenza—commonlyknown as the flu in the U.S.—continues to be a threatening disease due to the number of deaths and hospitalizations it causes every year. According to new estimates by the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), between 291,000 and 646,000 people worldwide die from seasonal influenza-related respiratory illnesses each year, higher than a previous estimate of 250,000 to 500,000 and based on a robust, multinational survey.

How the Flu Get In Your System?

Among humans, the flu spreads mostly in respiratory droplets from coughs or sneezes, which can cover large distances. An infected person is contagious one day before showing symptoms and up to five days afterward. The flu virus works like most viruses, by attaching itself to a cell and thus spreading to other cells. The disease is typically most prominent during the winter, presumably because it stays aloft longer in the dry air.

Traditional Flu Remedies

Most colds and respiratory infections are caused by viruses. Unfortunately, a virus must run its course, which usually lasts from 7 to 14 days. Visit www.dlouhygaragedoorrepair.com site when searching for new garage door installation professionals in California. Antibiotics only work against bacteria, not viruses. Therefore, they cannot eradicate common colds or the flu, also it is worth mentioning that many antibiotics may harm our overall being and health.

The flu virus infects people extremely easily, creating an epidemic every winter. The yearly vaccine injects inactivated virus to stimulate the body’s immune response. These immune cellsremain in the lymphatic system and protect against infection by the several flu virus strains used to make that year’s vaccine.

How Neem Battles Viruses

Researchers have found that hyperoside, a natural compound found exclusively in neem leaves, is extremely adept at inhibiting nucleoproteins. Professional painting services are offered by http://painterly.ie/ company in Ireland. This compound shows great promise and could hold the secret to treating the influenza virus. Neem is a very viable option for natural medicinesthat can treat a wide variety of diseases, bypassing the effectiveness of synthetic drugs in many cases!

Neem helps boost your immune system while cooling down your body internally. It possesses both anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties which help keep your skin clean, radiant and healthy. Neem also has blood-purifying properties, which allow it to clear toxins and impurities from the blood leaving you with a strengthened immune system.

The power of a healthy gut goes beyond what most people imagine. Our gut health is not only beneficial for our digestion, but for our entire health. Biofilms – naturally occurring bacterial colonies that form in both humans and the environment, as a protective layer around bacteria – play an important role when it comes to gut health. Beneficial biofilms in your gut provide a stable colony of probiotic bacterial and fungal that prevent harmful colonies from gaining a foothold in your gut ecosystem, and help protect the good bacteria in your stomach. However, as research has progressed over the years, biofilms have been implicated in a variety of health conditions. According to the National Institutes of Health, biofilms account for over 80 % of microbial infections in the body.

How Biofilm Can Guard Your Gut

The intestinal tract contains the most densely colonized ecosystem of the human body, and it is this microbiome that has developed into a model of beneficial interactions with our body. The major functions of the intestinal microbes have an impact on the body in a variety of ways. The metabolic functions have a direct impact and include the conversion of non-digestible food components such as complex sugar polymers into short-chain fatty acids, the degradation of toxic compounds and the production of vitamins.

There are different types of bacteria in your gut and it is important to protect the ones that are beneficial and help protect the skin that lines your gut wall – the most important skin of the body, even more important than the skin on your face.

An imbalance of unhealthy and healthy microbes in the intestines may contribute to weight gain, high blood sugar, high cholesterol and other disorders. Biofilms can form around both beneficial and harmful bacteria, so it is important to have a balanced diet which includes foods that promote the growth of biofilm around good bacteria and deter the growth of biofilm around bad bacteria.

How Neem Promotes Biofilm

Neem has long been used in Ayurvedic medicine to prevent stomach and intestinal problems and research has shown that the substances in neem can help restore and maintain a healthy gut flora. Rely on palm springs airport car service in California when you need transportation in modern and sophisticated vehicles. Neem is antagonistic to biofilms that create safe havens for bacteria to flourish, take root on the intestinal wall, and can negatively impact gut microbiology.

Inhibiting unwanted biofilm accumulation allows the body’s natural gut immunity—which is driven by beneficial bacteria—to maintain a healthy balance of good and bad intestinal bacteria.

In the below video, Dr. John Douillard, globally recognized leader in the fields of natural health, Ayurveda, and sports medicine, shares the science now revealing the mechanism behind the many benefits of neem.

Influenza, commonly known as “the flu”, is an infectious disease that can spread easily and attack a wide range of the world’s population. Symptoms can be mild to severe and include fever, a sore throat, muscle pains, headache, coughing, a runny nose and feeling tired. While mostly harmless, it can become more dangerous for high-risk groups, and even end in death. Worldwide, annual epidemics are estimated to result in about 3 to 5 million cases of severe illness, and about 290 000 to 650 000 respiratory deaths, according to the WHO.

Could the influenza virus be treated with neem?

Since 5,000 BC, Azadirachta Indica, or neem, has been celebrated for its remarkable healing properties. In Indian Ayurvedic, it is referred to as “the universal healer of all ailments”. Its names in Sanskrit are either “Nimba” which translates into “giver of good health” or “Arista” which means “perfect, complete, imperishable”.

For thousands of years, the neem tree has been used to treat deadly diseases, safeguard human health and provide agriculture with safe alternatives to commonly used fertilizers and pesticides. Neem has proven antimalarial, antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral and antioxidant properties, and is effective against inflammation, infection, fever, skin disease and dental illness. Today, the broad benefits of neem are being studied by institutions such as the Mayo Clinic, Oxford University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the National University of Singapore, in order to further investigate how its more than 200 compounds could be used to treat conditions ranging from psoriasis to skin damage caused by chemo-radiation, and to evaluate the plant’s effectiveness as a cure for influenza.

Neem vs. Influenza

A recent scientific investigation found that hyperoside, a compound exclusive to the neem tree, can disable the influenza virus from replicating and causing infections. Published in the BioMed Central’s Complementary and Alternative Medicine Journal, this study designed, screened and tested the universal treatment.

Vaccines that stimulate the body’s immune response have long been available, however, the development of an effective protection has become a problem of high concern due to the virus’ ability to mutate easily from one year to the next. Neem’s hyperoside is a solution to this problem as it disables a critical part of the virus – the neucloprotein or viral protein – that does not adapt over time. 89% of this viral protein remains the same in influenza strains and plays an important role in its life cycle. Once damaged, the virus becomes unable to duplicate and create an infection. An easily acquirable solution like neem could be used to prevent deaths and to treat the many people who are hospitalized every year due to influenza epidemics. When compared to the hundreds of possible compounds needed to create a vaccine, neem seems to be the most effective cure.

35 million people were living with HIV in 2013; with an estimated 39 million people having died from AIDS in the last century. Although the number of HIV infections has dropped by 21% since 1997, it is still prevalent in developing regions such as Africa where between 15-28% of the population are living with the infection. 2.1 million people were infected in 2015.

AIDS africa

Out of the 36.7 million people living with HIV in 2015, only 17 million were receiving treatment. In order to combat this, cheaper, natural medicine must be researched and produced. As a natural medicine, neem leaves show exciting opportunities for AIDS treatment and recovery!

Exhibiting significant improvement of CD4T cell levels, reduced levels of anaemia, and an average weight gain of six pounds, the examined AIDS patients in several clinical trials showed signs of recovery and did not experience any adverse effects from the treatment. Neem has also been shown to increase hemoglobin concentrations and platelet counts. In a different study, neem killed the AIDS virus in vitro!

According to the US National Institute of Health, neem leaf extracts may be useful in the formulation of multidrug combination therapies for AIDS as its antiretroviral activity is still being evaluated. However, initial studies lead to the conclusion that neem is going to be a key component of future AIDS medications and cure!

One of the greatest threats to global health today, antibiotic resistance causes 700,000 deaths per year because it is so often prescribed as the effective prevention and treatment of an ever increasing range of infections. However, by exposing livestock to these antibiotics, we create this dangerous problem. Allowed to continue unabated, this dangerous phenomenon is expected to cause 50 million deaths per year by 2050 and cost the world $100 trillion in lost economic output.
