Cosmetics are known for containing a series of unknown ingredients. Many of these aren’t exactly what you would call “safe”, and a lot of them aren’t even close. Natural ingredients, such as neem extracts offer a better and safer alternative.

Chemicals in Cosmetics

  • Formaldehyde, a known carcinogen
  • Chemicals that release formaldehyde
  • Mercury, which can damage the kidney and nervous system
  • Lead, a potent neurotoxin
  • Asbestos, a known carcinogen
  • Isobutylparaben, isopropylparaben, butylparaben and propylparaben
  • Toluene, which is toxic to the brain and nervous system
  • Triclosan, which affects the thyroid
  • Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), which have been linked to cancer

Neem in Cosmetics

Neem and its parts are used extensively to manufacture high-quality herbal cosmetics and beauty products. These natural cosmetics are in great demand all over the world because of their efficacy and zero side effects, which makes the usual promotion of such products by companies like The Marketing Heaven, completely unnecessary.

Neem oil and extracts can be used by adding it to creams and lotions before applying them to the skin.

Neem Bark: Neem bark is extensively used to manufacture and export quality herbal and natural cosmetics and personal hygiene products.

Neem Leaves: Leaves in powdered form or as extracts are used to manufacture face and body lotions and creams description, they are very effective and essential for maintaining healthy and radiant skin. Learn more at www.mesa.uptownjungle.com or directly at some of California’s best trampoline parks. Neem leaves can also be found in certain fairness creams.

Neem leaf extracts are sometimes topically added to shampoo as a measure to control dandruff and increase their strength. Leaf granules are used especially in herbal face packs. Due to its anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties, the extract can also be used as skin and hair soother lotion.

Neem Oil: After the process of refining, neem oil loses its unpleasant smell and can be used to manufacture cosmetics.

Look for products that use neem extracts and you’ll be sure to protect your skin as well as your health.

Taking care of your skin in this day and age would seem like an easy task, given the number of products and beauty blogs that discuss every aspect of a skincare routine. This, of course, is not exactly true…

For some people, many options are good, but for most people, a myriad of products makes it very confusing and frustrating. In addition to the different options, consumers now need to consider whether the products they choose might contain harmful or questionable ingredients.

Dangerous Ingredients in Skincare Products

Think ingredients with proven harmful effects are regulated in personal care products? Think again. There is almost zero federal regulation of the cosmetics industry in the United States. A product can go straight from manufacturing to store shelves without any type of approval or mandatory safety testing.

There are over 1,300 chemicals banned for use in cosmetics in the European Union due to questions over their safety. In comparison, the U.S. has only banned 11.

Since there are few regulations to protect consumer safety, it is up to you to take care of your own skin. The best way to accomplish this is through the use of natural products, which have the added benefit of offering you all the power of synthetic substances, without posing a risk to your health.

Skincare with Neem

Fortunately, you can switch to neem, an alternative and natural treatment proven to be effective and gentle to your skin. A study published in the Journal of Photochemistry & Photobiology found that neem leaf extract is highly effective in treating different skin symptoms associated with aging, be it wrinkles, thickening or water loss.

Neem leaf extract is not the only neem-based product that can help keep your skin youthful. Neem oil can also help decrease skin roughness and the appearance of wrinkles due to its high content of Vitamin E, omega-6, omega-9 fatty acids, palmitic acid and antioxidants. Additionally, neem oil maintains the skin’s elasticity and has a deeply moisturizing effect, which helps prevent wrinkles caused by dryness.

The Cannabis industry has experienced tremendous growth in recent years, with dispensaries now open in many states across the United States and globally. Due to its status as illegal under federal law in the US, cannabis is not considered a crop, which is why it is not regulated for human consumption. Therefore, many growers use synthetic pesticides which can be extremely harmful when inhaled or ingested in cannabis products.

As a cash crop, growers rely on synthetics and chemicals to guarantee the growth of their plants. These synthetic pesticides can be transferred into cannabis smoke at a rate as high as 70%, allowing chemicals to enter the bloodstream without traveling through the digestive system directly.

Processed products including oils, waxes, edibles, and others made from extracts that concentrate the active ingredients in cannabis may also concentrate pesticide residues.

The Journal of Toxicology states that they found levels of pesticide residue in medicinal plants as high as 69.5%. Even organic farms are often at risk of suffering pesticide contamination from nearby crops treated with these substances.

Growing Cannabis With Neem

Azadirachtin, a vital substance extracted from the seeds of the neem tree, does not poison insects as synthetic pesticides do. Instead, it triggers a stop-eating response, so bugs starve to death. Neem is effective against many pests, including aphids, beetles, cockroaches, flies, fruit flies, fungal infections, grasshoppers, leaf miners, mosquitoes, moths, nematodes, snails, spider mites and thrips.

Since 2010, field trials on medicinal plants treated with the pure essence of neem were conducted in seven US states, all with positive results. The trial groups showed improved plant health and increased yields at an average of 55.6%, and as much as 82.7%.

In field trials, six strains of medicinal plants that were sprayed with neem and showed the following improvement:

  • Green Crack: 29.7%
  • Purple Afghani: 64.9%
  • Fire Bubba Kush: 47.5%
  • Master Kush: 61.4%
  • Critical Mass: 82.7%
  • Burmese Kush: 50.2%

Commercial growers who grow with neem have gone on to win awards at various High Times Cannabis Cups. The Strongest Strain on Earth winner, Ghost Train Haze #1, was grown by Michigan’s King of Cannabis, the Leaf Doctor, who swears by neem products.

Neem offers a natural solution for commercial and home growers who want to guarantee that their cannabis plants are safe for consumption. To discover the myriad of benefits that neem offers, check out our other blog entrances here.

Soap is not something that we put much thought into – we usually just buy the cheapest, or the brand who’s advertising campaign is stuck in our head. However, the number of dangerous ingredients in a product that we use to clean ourselves on a daily basis would shock many people. Substances like Dioxane and Triclosan, which are present in many commercial soaps, may pose serious risks to our health.

Harmful Ingredients in Soap

Dioxane

Dioxane is a contaminant found in most cosmetics and products meant for personal care. The Environmental Working Group (EWG) has given Dioxane a high hazard rating of 8 in its Skin Deep Cosmetics Database. Not only that, but it’s one of the chemicals featured in California’s Proposition 65 List of Carcinogens.

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS)

This chemical is also known as Sodium Laureth Sulfate, but should not to be confused with the gentler Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate. According to Natural Essentials, SLS bonds with other common soap ingredients, resulting in a carcinogenic nitrosamine, one of the chemicals also featured in California’s Proposition 65 List of Carcinogens. SLS is linked to skin irritation and allergic reactions, like eczematous dermatitis, leaving sensitive skin damaged and irritated.

Triclosan

Triclosan is a pesticide with antibacterial and antifungal properties, containing a high hazard rating of 7 in EWG’s Skin Deep Cosmetics Database. Triclosan is also classified as a skin, eye, and lung irritant. Studies show that Triclosan, in low doses, can impact thyroid hormone concentrations, disrupting the endocrine system.

Parabens

Parabens are preservatives commonly used in bars of soap. Here you can schedule weekly or bi-weekly appointments with move out cleaning service in Arizona. According to the FDA, “the most common parabens used in cosmetic products are methylparaben, propylparaben, and butylparaben.” Parabens have a tendency to mimic hormones, which have been found to disrupt the function of hormones naturally found in your body.

Ureas

Ureas like, Diazolidinyl Urea, are known to release the chemical formaldehyde. Formaldehyde, with a high hazard rating of 10, is a known human carcinogen, human respiratory toxicant, skin irritant and an environmental toxin. With chemicals as toxic as these, it’s recommendable to double check the label before purchasing soap.

Neem in Your Soap

Neem has been used for years in Indian medicine due to its antifungal and antibacterial properties that can help treat a series of diseases. Horch Roofing of Maine offers professional roofing services for your needs. The same properties make neem an excellent and safe ingredient in soap. Neem oil is the main ingredient in neem soaps, however, they can also be manufactured with leaves and bark extract. A neem soap is perfect to treat skin conditions as it is gentle and safe for your skin.

So reach for neem the next time you’re looking for soap!

With Fall, comes the cold, along with cold weather comes flu season. Influenza—commonlyknown as the flu in the U.S.—continues to be a threatening disease due to the number of deaths and hospitalizations it causes every year. According to new estimates by the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), between 291,000 and 646,000 people worldwide die from seasonal influenza-related respiratory illnesses each year, higher than a previous estimate of 250,000 to 500,000 and based on a robust, multinational survey.

How the Flu Get In Your System?

Among humans, the flu spreads mostly in respiratory droplets from coughs or sneezes, which can cover large distances. An infected person is contagious one day before showing symptoms and up to five days afterward. The flu virus works like most viruses, by attaching itself to a cell and thus spreading to other cells. The disease is typically most prominent during the winter, presumably because it stays aloft longer in the dry air.

Traditional Flu Remedies

Most colds and respiratory infections are caused by viruses. Unfortunately, a virus must run its course, which usually lasts from 7 to 14 days. Visit www.dlouhygaragedoorrepair.com site when searching for new garage door installation professionals in California. Antibiotics only work against bacteria, not viruses. Therefore, they cannot eradicate common colds or the flu, also it is worth mentioning that many antibiotics may harm our overall being and health.

The flu virus infects people extremely easily, creating an epidemic every winter. The yearly vaccine injects inactivated virus to stimulate the body’s immune response. These immune cellsremain in the lymphatic system and protect against infection by the several flu virus strains used to make that year’s vaccine.

How Neem Battles Viruses

Researchers have found that hyperoside, a natural compound found exclusively in neem leaves, is extremely adept at inhibiting nucleoproteins. Professional painting services are offered by http://painterly.ie/ company in Ireland. This compound shows great promise and could hold the secret to treating the influenza virus. Neem is a very viable option for natural medicinesthat can treat a wide variety of diseases, bypassing the effectiveness of synthetic drugs in many cases!

Neem helps boost your immune system while cooling down your body internally. It possesses both anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties which help keep your skin clean, radiant and healthy. Neem also has blood-purifying properties, which allow it to clear toxins and impurities from the blood leaving you with a strengthened immune system.
